Six-word Memoir: Won’t go back behind a mask.

Why did you choose to get involved in storytelling?

I’ve always had a love for writing and creating my own fiction stories, but it’s fairly recently I’ve discovered the beauty in stories that are completely true. I chose to get involved in storytelling because everyone deserves to know what’s happening from multiple perspectives, whether it be news from their own street, or halfway across the world.

What story are you most proud of?

The story I’m most proud of is a science fiction story that I’ve been working on for several years. It started as nothing more than a dumb little tale that a ten year old came up with randomly, but by now it’s become a throughly developed story that I intend to publish as a novel. The story showcases several themes that I feel are very important to discuss and educate about, such as LGBT identity, racial prejudice, and more.

How can youth media change the world?

The youth today have access to the internet and social media through several outlets, like twitter and Instagram. They can, and often do use those outlets in order to spread news they may have heard in their daily lives

Who is your role model?

My role model is Ellen Degeneres.
