Making It Work

About the Series

Teens growing up today face a radically different set of economic opportunities and challenges than previous generations as technology and new social norms transform the labor landscape.

Student Reporting Labs asked its network of youth reporters living in different cities and towns across 42 states to track down stories of innovation and hardship that reflect the variation of work across the country. The diversity of stories reveals a rare youth perspective that opens an intergenerational dialogue around economic mobility and how to make it work.
