Capital City Public Charter School in Washington D.C. gives 11th grade students the opportunity to learn about food justice while developing a civically minded research project. Youth reporters from SRL’s inaugural Homegrown Fellowship followed students Frank and Brenda as they investigated food waste and proposed changes to their administration around how their school serves lunch.
