What if teenagers felt they had a voice in the future of our country? This election season, the Student Reporting Labs network of more than 100 schools across the country asked middle and high school students to talk to the next president about the issues they feel need to be addressed.
Mental health and addiction are two major concerns for John Diveris, who feels treatment options and over-prescription are doing nothing to help the problem.
Produced by Miranda Crowley, Brandon Revis, Kyle Ring, Ellen Smykowski and Ashley Sparrow, students of Forestview High School in Gastonia, North Carolina. Instruction provided by SRL Connected Educator Melissa Heilig. Mentor support provided by Kaitlyn Cannon of South Carolina ETV.
