Neianne Sambile
Neianne is a Grants and Data Projects Associate at PBS NewsHour’s Student Reporting Labs. She recently graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in both Statistics and Psychology in May 2023. She previously worked as a Grant Writer with the nonprofit Kamp For Kids and a Research Assistant with UVA’s Early Development Lab, conducting research on general teacher beliefs in relation to child psychology and pedagogy (Conventional vs. Montessori). When she isn’t writing grant reports or hacking away at Excel, she would be listening to music, especially classical music. Whether it’s at an orchestra concert, on CD or Spotify, or over radio waves (shoutout to WETA Classical), you will almost never catch her without a melody in her ears.
