About the documentary: Gun violence is the leading cause of death for American children and teens according to the CDC, but coverage of its impact on youth is often reported by adults. Run, Hide, Fight passes the mic to students from five cities across the U.S. cities: Philadelphia, Oakland, Washington D.C., Nashville, and East Lansing

Each segment of the documentary was produced by student reporters and centers the perspectives of young people who live in the shadow of this threat. What is it like to be part of a generation growing up with the threat of school shootings and random acts of violence? What steps are young people taking to support one another and move toward a safer future? This documentary invites audiences to find hope in the younger generation taking action in the face of this uniquely American epidemic.

This opportunity is made possible by The Hillman Foundation.
