Do you have what it takes to be a Reporting Labs All-Star?
Each year, the Student Reporting Labs program brings together teachers and mentors from across the country for a weekend of learning and inspiration. This year we’ve also decided to host five students during our workshop. The trip will be all-expenses paid, and we’ll even have a day of fun planned for the young journalists. Because there are only five out-of-town slots and many, many students – we will be accepting nominations. In addition to a nomination form and essay, each student has to submit a video indicating why he/she should be selected.
Here are some of the submissions:
Kennedy Huff (Pflugerville High School)
Honeykein Lagran (Maui Waena Intermediate School)
Andrew Sokolowski (Fraser High School)
Mikki Fulmer (Fort Mill High School)
Meri DeMarois (Sentinel High School)
McKenna Cieslak (Fort Mill High School)
Ruby Rosenberg (Media Enterprise Alliance)
Seth Cleveland (Searcy High School)
Sophie Sabin (Philips Academy Charter School)
Nicole Schmid (Sentinel High School)
Jonathan Reyes (Media Enterprise Alliance)
Isaiah Jones (Granby High School)
Kim Chexnayder (Paseo Academy)
