Is integration important to today’s students?

To mark the 60th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark Brown v. Board of Education school desegregation decision, we asked our network of Student Reporting Labs across the country if integration should be a national goal. Here’s a sampling of what they had to say.

Students from Dunbar Magnet Middle School in Little Rock, Arkansas spoke to members of their community, including Enimini Ekong, the Chief of Interpretation and Education at Little Rock Central High School, about school integration.

They also interviewed John Kirk, the History Department Chair at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
