SRL Hosts 2025 Teacher Workshop — meet the educators!

June 4, 2025

Student Reporting Labs’ will host its annual Teacher Workshop from July 25-27 in Washington, DC at the WETA offices, home of the PBS News Hour.

This year’s Teacher Workshop focuses on streamlining student storytelling by exploring production strategies that teach students perspective, expand creativity, and maximize resources to produce compelling narratives.

Educators will work alongside the SRL team to strengthen their technical and editorial skills to better marry storytelling and technology in the classroom. They’ll bring these skills back to their classrooms to support high school student journalists as they report the stories that matter most to them and their communities.

This level of free hands-on media education is made possible by support for public media programs like PBS News Student Reporting Labs and local station WETA. Consider donating today.
