An unlikely passion turns into mentorship for future engineers

Maui Waena Intermediate School | Kahului, HI

Don Suzuki found an unlikely passion for mentoring in robotics through his son. Student reporters from Maui Waena Intermediate School witnessed the intensity of robotics competitions and documented how Suzuki teaches students to overcome any unexpected obstacle that comes their way.

Produced by Hannah Okamoto, Logan Tsukiyama, Samantha Della, and Glenzy Salcedo at Maui Waena in Kahului, Hawaii. Instruction provided by SRL Connected Educator Jennifer Suzuki. Station support provided by PBS Hawaii.
