Ever wonder if your laptop or tablet contains natural resources extracted in a conflict zone? Student Reporting Labs reporter Gabriel Gamino Guerrero interviewed Arizona State University Professor Dr. Donald Burt about the formation and sourcing of conflict minerals, which are used in everyday tech products. 

He also spoke to Gary Niekerk, Intel’s Director of Corporate Responsibility, to learn how the tech giant is handling the use of these precious commodities.
