Homeless in paradise: a garden program helps Hawaiian youth gain control

For homeless youth living in Hawaii, the weight of poverty and the high cost of living on an island makes them feel like they have zero control of their situation.

After years of searching for a home, a gardening program helped Shawn master tools to grow his own food, support his family and regain his pride.
