Protecting the Mukwonago River, one of Wisconsin’s cleanest water resources

The Mukwonago River is home to nearly eighty state-listed threatened and endangered species. It is one of Wisconsin’s cleanest rivers as a result of the continuous attention of the Nature Conservancy and organizations like Friends of the Mukwonago River, who deploy Citizen Scientists to maintain its pristine nature.
