Sisters band together to overcome trauma of mom’s drug addiction
Shenandoah High School | Shenandoah, IA
Sisters Chelsie and Zayddi grew up constantly moving between foster families, treatment facilities, friends and family while their mother battled drug addiction. Chelsie often had to step in as a mother figure for Zayddi and still does. More than 8 million children in the U.S. have a parent who is battling drug addiction.
