The Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush is a magnet high school that is attended by students with a multitude of diverse backgrounds. Due to the differences in background, a discussion about how certain communities wear their hair has proven to be a subject of debate. Our student reporters conducted a series of interviews on a topic of African-American hair to make people socially aware of the aspects of the culture.
