West Texas teens cover big issues, robots in Marfa
KRTS Youth Media | Marfa, TX
Some might think of desolate prairies and mysterious, unexplained lights when they think of Marfa, but this West Texas town of about 2,000 residents boasts a wealth of stories captured best by teens — the teens who call it home.
Our youth reporters covered a range of issues in their reports on life in Marfa, from asking what impact bringing a Walmart to their small town would have, to weighing the pros and cons of military enlistment after high school and taking a look at challenges facing rural healthcare. Oh, and robots, of course.
