Jake Schoneker is an award-winning journalist, educator, and multimedia producer based in Oakland, CA, where he serves as Program Director for the Media Enterprise Alliance at KDOL-TV.
His video work has appeared on the PBS NewsHour, the AFP and the Washington Post, among other outlets.
He also has extensive experience working in inner-city schools, having served as a full-time tutor and mentor for students while coordinating several after school programs. Jake holds a masters degree in Journalism from UC Berkeley, where his work concentrated on youth media, multimedia journalism, and international reporting.
In his spare time he enjoys hiking, playing music, and hosting over-the-top costume parties.
