Teachers at Royal Oak High School are using a fun and innovative teaching tool to give their students the energy and morale to stay focused in class. Some would say school spirit is too much of distraction to benefit an educational institution, but these teachers are finding that their students are engaging with lesson plans on a deeper level when they are allowed to express their love for their school. Students from the PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Lab investigate why this recent support of school spirit has changed the way students learn.
