Students build boats to raise money for mental health

Fraser High School | Fraser, MI

Students from Fraser Michigan learn to build floating boats during a student council competition. After spending weeks to make these vessels they sail them in their campus pool. All proceeds go to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons living with serious mental illness and their families.

Produced by Keenan Penn, Sareena Dunaj, Sidney Rozzisi, Mackenzie Tolitsky, Anyssa Ochoa. Instruction provided by SRL Connected Educator Jamie Flanagan. Station support provided by DPTV.
