Since 2000, Patrice Lawrence set out to make an impact on media arts education. She is the creator, facilitator and instructional leader of a unique and innovative media program housed at her high school alma mater, Frederick Douglass High School. It is there where she maintains a community partnership, continuously petitions for technology improvements in the classroom and connects students to real world experiences. Her progressive work at digital integration enhances student communication skills, which promotes responsible risk takers, makers and consumers of media who have the talents to make valuable contributions to our society.
In 2003, she earned an MS degree in education and in 2009, earned another MS degree in educational leadership, both from Johns Hopkins University. Patrice enjoys spending time with her husband and family, Zumba, traveling and making memorable multimedia presentations for special events.
