Since 2000, Patrice Lawrence set out to make an impact on media arts education. She is the creator, facilitator and instructional leader of a unique and innovative media program housed at her high school alma mater, Frederick Douglass High School. It is there where she maintains a community partnership, continuously petitions for technology improvements in the classroom and connects students to real-world experiences. Her progressive work at digital integration enhances student communication skills, which promotes responsible risk-takers, makers and consumers of media who have the talents to make valuable contributions to our society.
