Kadesha teaches Mass Media and Communications. Woodrow Wilson High School recruited Kadesha to build its SMMC program. The program consists heavily of video production and her students learn to write, shoot, edit and collaborate on various video projects. Kadesha has had her students place in several national student competitions, such as the All-American High School Film Festival, C-SPAN StudentCam Documentary competition, and White House Student Film Festival. Before becoming a teacher, Kadesha received her BS in Broadcasting and Film from the University of Central Missouri-Warrensburg. After graduating college, she interned as a TV reporter in her home town, Joplin, Missouri and then went to work for KRPS 89.9 FM radio as an on-air anchor and reporter. Kadesha is also part of the Student Television Network and looks forward to the opportunities of growth and collaboration.
