As a Media Arts/Broadcast Journalism educator, Sequoyah Wharton wants his classroom to provide a supportive and creative atmosphere where he can deliver customized and individualized attention.
Wharton wants students to develop as strong conversationalists through their broadcast journalism course because he imagines expertise through this spatial intelligence is a field that most individuals can relate to. He strives for subject matter in the Broadcast Journalism classroom to be as varied as possible. This will allow the diverse student groups to see themselves included in the stories, which they will learn about. Wharton feels it is his responsibility to make critical thinking and positive communication the main foci in the classroom.
